Meet Patrick Gillingham

Hi, I am Patrick Gillingham, a Newcastle-based Physiotherapist and the practice principal at Everyday Athlete Physiotherapy.

I graduated from Newcastle University with a bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2016 and since this time I have gained valuable experience working in private practice, seeing an extensive range of different people, with different injuries and different goals. I have had exposure to recreational athletes, professional performers, elite level sporting environments and people just trying to get their body moving. Through these experiences I have developed the belief that all activity goals are equal in importance, whether that involves running a marathon, playing sport consistently at any level, going for a walk or playing with your kids. You deserve to be listened to and to have your goals taken seriously, because we all have the capability to be everyday athletes.

I started Everyday Athlete Physiotherapy because I am passionate about the important role that Physiotherapy can play in the lives of people who don’t feel they are reaching their full potential. As Physiotherapists, we are fortunate to be able to help people who may have lost confidence in their body, developed negative health beliefs or are limited in their ability to keep doing the things that are important to them. This is a role that I take very seriously, and my desire to ensure that as many people as possible can have a positive, informative and long-lasting experience at the Physio lead to me creating the Everyday Athlete Physiotherapy clinic.

I am excited to share my expertise with the everyday athletes of the Newcastle region and make sure you get back to doing what is important to you, and then keep doing it, with confidence!
